How to Listen to Your Body & Honor Its Needs

Hey girl, Heyyyyyy!!

Just like we check the people… we need to check ourselves and, most importantly, check our bodies. Sometimes we have an abundance of stress and anxiety that is built up that slowly turns into elements. Now we’re on blood pressure medication, migraine meds, and mental health meds, and even gaining a few more pounds!!! All of this because we were scared to leave that man, overwhelmed by that job, or those egregious kids!!! lol

Have you ever heard that saying?? “If your body is tired, it will sit you down.”. Yeah, it’s true; I’ve been sat down many times before! Sometimes we’re on GO and have this STRONG black woman mentality that paints a picture that we must keep going DESPITE. Welp, I’m here to say, SLOW that ass down! Take time out for you. Call it off because there is nothing wrong and just relax, rest, and recoup. You deserve more than a mental health day or a self-care day. We are women, not machines!
